We do not ask for student details in the pilot request form.

If you message us on Instagram, including through our Instagram ad, we may ask:

We can also see your Instagram name, your username, and the messages you send us.

We ask for your WhatsApp number or email address only if you choose that way of staying in touch. A phone number is never required.

Instagram and WhatsApp are operated by Meta, which processes messages under its own privacy policy.

The pilot is for schools only. If a parent or student contacts us, we do not collect any further information.

Calls

We may schedule a short call with you on Google Meet, or on WhatsApp if you prefer. Google and Meta process calls under their own privacy policies.

We do not record calls.

Teacher accounts

Student game data

How we use your information

We use teachers’ and schools’ information to:

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Where your information is kept

Pilot requests are recorded in Google Sheets and shared with our team through a private Slack channel and email.

Student game data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted on Amazon Web Services in the Tokyo region (ap-northeast-1).

This means some data is stored outside India. We transfer data only to countries the DPDP Act permits.

How long we keep it

If your school does not go ahead with a pilot, we delete your request details within 12 months. This includes copies held in Slack and email.

We keep student and teacher account data while your school uses Star·Born, and delete it when the school asks us to.

Site analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this website, for example page visits, trailer plays and pilot button clicks. Google Analytics may use cookies.

Advertising signals and personalisation are turned off. We never send pilot request answers to Google Analytics. Google Analytics is used only on this website, not inside the game.

How we protect your information

If a data breach affects your personal data, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.

Your rights

Under the DPDP Act, you can:

These rights cover details you shared through our website, Instagram, WhatsApp or email.

Schools, and parents through their child’s school, can ask us to delete students’ game data.
